dance fever

Last night Jimmy cut the rug.

He must have exerted a lot of energy because early this morning he spiked a fever. Nice moves, man, but next time don't over-extend yourself.

seal beach

Once upon a time we lived near the beach. Now we don't. Therefore, whenever we are remotely near a beach we must go and frolic. While there, we look at birds (well, some of us do).

We play in the sand and the waves.

We rest our tired feet from trekking through Disneyland in the warm sand.

And of course some us get entirely soaking wet and and end up having to wear their dad's sweatshirt or the random jammie pants we thankfully found in the back of the car into the hotel.

I love the beach.

disney scenes

Our last day at Disney was very much like our first - super fun, amazingly crowded, happy, long, and fantastic.

The kids fell asleep within 3 minutes of being tucked into bed. Nate and I were out in 5.

order and identities or aye, aye mateys

While playing pirates this morning Jimmy decided that he was the captain, Grace was second in charge, I was a slave, and Nate was a hairy-gorilla-monkey-man.

Of course.

It seems to fit our family dynamics from the 6 year old point of view quite nicely.
