Much to everyone's delight, today (finally) is the first day of school. My girl who generally seems to prefer dresses and tights opted for shorts and some Mary Janes. She was a bit apprehensive, but seemed eager to make a go of it. She really likes her teacher, Mrs. Wisdom, and is anxious to make some good friends. I think she'll do just fine, how could she not (especially since her backpack has detachable fairy wings (yes, we did leave those at home) and she has her very own desk at school that already has sharpened pencils in it)! And of course, you will note, some new glasses!
